- I can get .au files and play them with WinMosaic 2.0a4 (using wplany or wham)
- but can't seem to locate where Mosaic puts the .au files after playing them.
- I would think that at the very least they would be stored as temp. files
- somewhere -- does anyone know where they are put (i.e. a default place)?

- A common mistake that occurs quite frequently is to forget to enable the
- BINARY transmission protocol when getting e.g. .ZIP files. You may be
- able to set this as the default in your ftp software's .INI file or if
- the ftp session is command line driven (i.e. you enter commands from a
- prompt on the ftp server) enter 'bin' to enable binary file transmission.
-
- A good way to tell if this is the problem is to check the size of the file
- you are trying to obtain from the ftp server and compare that to the size
- of the file after it has been transferred to your machine. If the sizes
- don't match, then try enabling binary transmission and repeating the
- procedure.
-
- Good luck,

- Why are you dialing when you have Ethernet? You must exit TCPMAN.exe when

-
- Let me add that you must specifically request this when getting a SLIP account
- set up. I must also add that, having done so (thanks to davei and mcguire at
- digex for doing so...) I have had no problems with this procedure. I get
- home from work, fire up sendmail, and it picks up all the mail that's been sent
- to my slip address during the day. Then I use my mail reader to check it out.
-
- (However, I'm also using IBM's TCP/IP for OS/2, and the LaMail client, so
- YMMV.)
